I'm disappointed in the quality of the footage tonight especially after being shut out for so many days - so if you don't want to watch it I fully understand (lol). I'm baffled at why Jupiter and its moons

The Crescent Moon was above Venus tonight, though Venus was skirting the tree in the photos. The star closer and below the Moon was Porrima, a Star in Virgo. Then onto Jupiter and as we go to Saturn, this

Info about the Moon partnering with the Planets is at 3:36: Mon Aug 13, 2018 - Venus to the left of the 10% Crescent Tues Aug 14, 2018 - 18% Moon Above Venus Wed Aug 15, 2018 - 27% Moon Above Spica Thurs

Another noisy irritating night ushered in by a rumbling rattling mower & screaming kiddies. Venus in the West, Jupiter in the SW and Saturn in the SE. Clouds got denser as the minutes wore on, blotting

What I thought might be the other moons of Jupiter and Saturn turned out to be distant stars. There was a lone and very faint meteor in the SW sky playing tag with an airplane at 9:50pm. 9:04pm to 9:54pm

*Update 2 1/2 weeks later (August 10, 2018): I'm more than pleased with this new Powermatic III. After rolling 500 smokes, there hasn't been one mishap or bad filling. I know in this video it sounds like

Such a crap sky for hunting of the ISS so we missed it passing by Venus but eventually did catch a quick flyby when it went over Jupiter, then Saturn, but got buried behind the trees when going below Mars.

Yeah yeah, another rant tonight (lol). It irked me when seeing the quality of the images from the said Meteor strikes on the Moon that the European Space Agency provided, even their Hi-Res gifs were crap

The information about the Meteor Strikes is at 4:07. The European Space Agency has 2 gif's of the strikes that hit the Moon on July 17th and the next night on the 18th. On the 17th the Moon was illuminated

It's been a week since the sky has allowed us to see the planets and I was a bit shocked to see Venus so low in the Western sky at my usual viewing time. I had to adjust my position about 15-20 feet from

I miss the sky and you folks too! Not much to see here but it was nice to get out and finally see something other than drips of rain and gray skies. 2:09pm Thursday August 2nd, 2018, NE Ohio, 91°F - SW

Another long long night - sorry for the length! Jupiter begins the night then the Full Moon Rises, Saturn does its Tilt, and lastly Dusty Mars was odd shaped - kind of elongated tonight. Oh, at 8:08 I

This was a WTF night! (lol). At 1:39 the Moon began sliding backwards for about 50 seconds before it reversed course and headed back up. That was freaky! Edit - Mr Bufferzz saw the rig tilt, so maybe one

I wasted so much time tonight in a hunt for the ISS, but the bugger came up in a different spot than anticipated so it was a bust. Anyway, some great pictures tonight of the willow tree splitting the Moon

There's no sound because I had it on photo mode while shooting still pictures of the evening sky while using the Ninja Flame recorder and didn't have the 2x zoom teleconverter on nor the ability to use

Not a good night for skywatching here but was determined to get the dancing partners of Jupiter and the Moon this eve. At 1:01 there is a strange flyby that comes up from the lower left over on the dark

A long night but worth it to get all 4 planets of Venus, Jupiter, Saturn & Mars along with the 42% waxing Crescent.. Antares was a colorful sight, looking like it had a bubble shield around it too.

Caution! All the loud racket of a damn lawn mower blaring and children screaming after dark put me in a foul mood and lots of 'F' bombs burst forth. Most were edited out but some still remained, so just

I'm very disappointed in this tonight, so if you don't want to watch it I totally understand! (lol) 2 hours of footage from both cameras edited down to 10 minutes in 8 excruciating hours - it was a hard

4 Planets in the Friday the 13th Evening Sky. The photo of the streak is possibly a greenish/yellow meteor or a firefly - I'm guessing a lightning bug. The streak was shot at 2 1/2 seconds shutter exposure,
