Do you beat yourself up over failures?
Do you work too much and push too hard without giving yourself time to breathe?
Do you live with shame or a sense of not being good enough?
Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to make the right choice. I've seen a lot of people changing parts of who they are to be someone that someone else loves. I've seen a lot people changing their skin colour in other to belong in a certain group.
Not one person on this earth is perfect. Some people are more naturally inclined to care what others think. If you are one of those people, you also likely have a great propensity to be empathetic. We are all unique in our own way.
We all make mistakes. We fail. We have flaws. We just need to look within ourselves and treat ourselves as humans who are worthy of respect and hope. As humans we are not perfect, nor should we be expected to act flawlessly
It is difficult being who you are. Nobody can be you. No body understands what you go through everyday. You just need to act tough and strong sometimes.
For instance, you finally give your heart to someone you thought you love and only for you to be heart broken over again. You feel betrayed, lost and empty. Most people beat themselves up and even try to take their own life over issues like this. But instead of beating yourself up, why not make a commitment to try to learn from the experience, rather than beat yourself up.
We all have insecurities.
A lot of people struggle from time to time trying make things work. About 5% of people go through issues and pain they wish not to talk about or share with their partner or spouse. And they make a happy face pretending everything is okay. How often do you have to hide behind a fake smile? How long do you have to pretend that everything is okay with you?
When you're faced with difficult life struggles, or confronting personal mistakes, failures and inadequacies. Just remember that you can't be perfect at everything. Allow yourself to be human, to make mistakes and learn from them.
Don't change for anyone be who you are.
