I think technology is the closest thing we can see in the modern world that resembles what was classed as real magic.

For instance if you could have spoken with somebody else through a small gadget in your hand back in Salem you would most definitely have been hung for witchcraft Lol.

Even the advances we are seeing in computers, TV, personal travel etc, wearable technology we are becoming the tech wizards of the 21st century.
