Hola amigos, espero que est茅n pasando un excelente d铆a al lado de sus seres queridos.
Hoy les quiero continuar sobre mis traves铆as de semana santa, en esta oportunidad visite la poblaci贸n de Choron铆. Esta incre铆ble playa se encuentra en el estado Aragua, a unos 51km de la ciudad de Maracay. Aproximadamente unas dos horas de carretera.
En esta ocasi贸n fue una visita no muy t铆pica, ya que llegue a Choron铆 por bote, partimos desde cata, pero esa traves铆a se las contare en otra publicaci贸n.
Esta era ni segunda vez en este maravilloso pueblo, la verdad es que me pareci贸 excelente sus calles y el ambiente que all铆 existe. Lastimosamente solo estuve all铆 como por 4 horas porque fue una visita de negocios; ese d铆a desembarcamos en Puerto Col贸n, un sitio espectacular, con un malec贸n que estaba muy cuidado y limpi贸, ya se ve铆a la llegada de los turistas para pasar los d铆as de vacaciones all铆. Se puede conseguir mucha variedad de posadas por lo que me comentaban era que los precios iban desde los 20$ la noche por pareja, casi todas tienen estilo colonial y es uno de sus atractivos ya que aparte de las posadas tambi茅n hay casas de los pobladores que a煤n conservan ese estilo
la arquitectura y sus colores son otra cosa y siempre tratan de mantenerlas as铆 porque como mencione, es uno de sus principales atractivos tur铆sticos. Cabe mencionar que la primera vez que visite este pueblo fue en una caminata realizada desde Maracay y este que fue mi segunda vez fue por lancha que peculiar manera de llegar a 茅l.
Lo curioso de choroni es que la playa y el puerto est谩n divido por una peque帽a monta帽a, en puerto colon es donde est谩n todas las lanchas y si eres amante del pescado del mar, all铆 hay muchos negocios los cuales venden pescados super frescos. Y a unos cientos de metros se encuentra la maravillosa playa grande, no voy a negar que es una playa muy hermosa, el color de la arena combina con el azul del mar, all铆 puedes tener acceso a toldos y sillas, cuenta con una escuela de surf, tiene una variedad de restaurantes los cuales ofrecen un gran amplio men煤 de comidas y bebidas; se siente la seguridad ya que en la entrada de la playa se encuentra un comando policial y de protecci贸n civil.
Un dato de este lugar es que desde ella puedes visitar las playas de Cepe, tuja, Chuao y Valle Seco que tambi茅n son lugares incre铆bles, cabe destacar que todos estos lugares solo tienen acceso v铆a mar铆tima. En Choroni se cultiva y procesa unos de los mejores cacaos del pa铆s, por su condici贸n clim谩tica lo hace id贸neo para que este cultivo se pueda aprovechar, hay haciendas que se dedican exclusivamente a eso. En muchas partes del pueblo puedes conseguir lo que es la pasta del cacao que como su nombre lo dice es cacao 100% puro con lo cual podr谩s hacer tus postres y recetas favoritas, otro de los atractivos del pueblo es su mirador de la cruz el cual est谩 ubicado en una peque帽a monta帽a al lado de puerto colon, en este viaje no tuve la oportunidad de visitarlo, pero si poder tomarle una foto desde la distancia.
En resumidas cuentas, la verdad se los recomiendo, es un lugar que no es muy costoso, tiene ambiente familiar, podr谩s disfrutar de la playa y el rio, un lugar que vale la pena visitar si a煤n no lo conoces.

Today I want to continue my holy week trips, this time I visited the town of Choron铆. This incredible beach is located in the state of Aragua, about 51km from the city of Maracay. Approximately two hours by road.
On this occasion it was a not very typical visit since I arrived at Choron铆 by boat, we left from Cata, but I will tell you about that journey in another publication.
This was my second time in this wonderful town, the truth is that I found excellent its streets and the atmosphere that exists there. Unfortunately, I was only there for about 4 hours because it was a business visit; that day we disembarked in Puerto Colon, a spectacular sight, with a boardwalk that was very neat and clean, and we could see the arrival of tourists to spend their vacation days there. You can get a lot of variety of inns for what they told me was that the prices ranged from $ 20 per night per couple, almost all have colonial style and is one of its attractions because apart from the inns there are also houses of the villagers who still retain that style.
The architecture and colors are something else and they always try to keep them that way because as I mentioned, it is one of its main tourist attractions. It is worth mentioning that the first time I visited this town was on a hike from Maracay and this was my second time by boat which is a peculiar way to get there.
The curious thing about Choroni is that the beach and the port are divided by a small mountain, in Puerto Colon is where all the boats are and if you are a sea fish lover, many stores sell super fresh fish. And a few hundred meters away is the wonderful Playa Grande, I will not deny that it is a very beautiful beach, the color of the sand combines with the blue of the sea, there you can have access to awnings and chairs, has a surf school, has a variety of restaurants which offer a wide menu of food and drinks, you can feel the security because at the entrance of the beach is a police command and civil protection.
A fact about this place is that from here you can visit the beaches of Cepe, Tuja, Chuao and Valle Seco which are also incredible places, it is worth mentioning that all these places can only be accessed by sea. In Choroni some of the best cocoa in the country is grown and processed, due to its climatic conditions it is ideal for this crop to be used, some farms are dedicated exclusively to that. In many parts of the town, you can get what is the cocoa paste that as its name says is 100% pure cocoa with which you can make your favorite desserts and recipes, another attraction of the town is its view of the cross which is located on a small mountain next to Puerto Colon, on this trip, I did not have the opportunity to visit it, but if I could take a picture from a distance.
In short, I recommend it, it is a place that is not very expensive, has a family atmosphere, you can enjoy the beach and the river, a place worth visiting if you do not know it yet.
