When I was on the eighth or ninth season of Supernatural I took a week off because I felt that if I kept watching it I would end up hating it, during that week off I started watching Wakfu, but I couldn't concentrate because I was always thinking about Supernatural, so I stopped watching Wakfu and finally after finishing Supernatural I started watching Wakfu again and I finished it, it was hard, but I made it, so now I am here writing this to recommend it to you and that you dare to watch it, you will enjoy it.
The series starts excellent, they leave an old man fighting with someone mysterious, a baby that needs a place to live, they leave him with the cook of a village and leave him instructions to raise him until the time comes when he will have to look for his biological family, but he will not do it alone, first, he will have to save his village, in that first mission he will join Tristepin, someone with little brains and a lot of brawn; Amalia, a princess who has powers to control nature; Evangelyne, an Ocra who has a lot of brains and a magic bow that doesn't need arrows, and Ruel, a greedy old man who only thinks about money. They will all be The Brotherhood of Tofu, and together they will accompany Yugo, our beloved boy with powers, on his journey to find his biological family, and along the way, they will save the world several times.
Cuando iba por la octava o novena temporada de Supernatural me tomé una semana de descanso porque sentía que si seguía viéndola la iba a terminar odiando, durante esa semana de descanso que tuve comencé a ver Wakfu, pero no me podía concentrar porque siempre estaba pensando en Supernaural, así que dejé de ver Wakfu y finalmente después de terminar Supernatural volví a comenzar a ver Wakfu y lo terminé, fue difícil, pero lo logré, así que ahora estoy aquí escribiendo esto para recomendárselos y que se atrevan a verlo, pues lo disfrutarán.
La serie comienza excelente, dejan un viejo peleando con alguien misterioso, un bebé que necesita un lugar donde vivir, lo dejan con el cocinero de un pueblo y le dejan instrucciones de que lo crie hasta que llegue el momento en el que tendrá que buscar a su familia biológica, pero no lo hará solo, primero tendrá que salvar a su pueblo, en esa primera misión se unirá a Tristepin, alguien con poco cerebro y mucho músculo; Amalia, una princesa que tiene poderes para controlar la naturaleza; Evangelyne, una Ocra que tiene mucho cerebro y un arco mágico que no necesita de flechas, y Ruel, un viejo avaricioso que solo piensa en el dinero. Todos serán La Hermandad del Tofu, y juntos acompañarán a Yugo, nuestro querido niño con poderes, en su viaje para encontrar a su familia biológica, y en el transcurso, salvarán al mundo varias veces.
Wakfu is the name of the series, but it is also the vital energy of things, or at least it is something like that, and it was hard for me to understand it, because the explanation comes in many parts and it is up to us to put all the parts together to give a greater sense to everything they gave us, besides, the series is in French, that not only surprised me, but it made the beginning of the series difficult for me, I couldn't get used to seeing an animated series with the voices in French, I could see it in Spanish and everything would be easier, but no, I have as a rule to see things for the first time in their original language; by the time I started watching it again after finishing Supernatural I had no problem and started to enjoy it a lot.
The series so far has 4 story arcs divided as follows: the first season where Yugo tries to find his family and we have as villain Nox, someone who wants to take over all the wakfu possible to fulfill his desires; The second season where Yugo will know the whereabouts of all his people, he will learn more and more about his powers, plus we will have a villain not so surprising, but I will not mention to not make spoilers; here in the middle are three episodes that will tell us about a special mission they will have where everything will get out of control and they will be saved thanks to a miracle, but I will not say anything else, then comes the third season, where again they try to save the world, and I must say that I saw the three previous chapters when I had already seen half of the third season, so I filled very late all the argumentative void I had to understand everything that was happening. It will have a fourth season, but that was in 2020, then came the pandemic and everything was ruined, they still don't give news of anything else, and I suffer a lot, I saw the trailer they made for the fourth season and that's too epic not to want to watch it.
Wakfu es el nombre de la serie, pero también es la energía vital de las cosas, o al menos es algo aí, y me costó mucho entenderlo, pues la explicación llega en muchas partes y queda en nosotres juntar todas las partes para así darle un sentido mayor a todo lo que nos dieron, además, la serie está en frances, eso no solo me sorprendió, si no que me hizo difícil el comienzo de la serie, no lograba acostumbrarme del todo a ver una serie animada con las voces en frances, pude verla en español y que todo fuera más fácil, pero no, tengo como regla ver las cosas por primera vez en su idioma original; ya para cuando comencé a verla de nuevo después de haber terminado Supernatural no tuve ningún problema y comencé a disfrutarla mucho.
La serie hasta los momentos tiene 4 arcos argumentales divididos de la siguiente forma: la primera temporada donde Yugo trata de encontrar a su familia y tenemos como villano a Nox, alguien que quiere apoderarse de todo el wakfu posible para cumplir sus deseos; La segunda temporada donde Yugo sabrá el paradero de toda su gente, aprenderá más y más sobre sus poderes, además de que tendremos a un villano no tan sorpresivo, pero que no mencionaré para no hacerles spoiler; aquí en medio van tres episiodios que nos hablarán sobre una misión especial que tendrán donde todo se saldrá de control y se salvarán gracias a un milagro, pero no diré nada más, después viene la tercera temporada, donde de nuevo tratan de salvar al mundo, y debo decir que vi los tres capítulos anteriores cuando ya había visto la mitad de la tercera temporada, así que llené muy tarde todo el vacío argumentativo que tenía para poder entender todo lo que estaba pasando. Según tendrá una cauarta temporada, pero eso era en el 2020, entonces llegó la pandemia y todo se arruinó, aún no dan noticias de nada más, y sufro mucho, vi el trailer que hicieron de la cuarta temporada y eso es demasiado épico como para no querer verlo.
The beginning of the series is difficult, at least it was for me, not only because I saw it in French and it took me a lot to get used to that, but the beginning feels complete as if all the chapters were filler as if they were side missions and not the main mission which is the reason why I stayed watching the series, but then I understood that those chapters, although they seem filler, are very necessary because they introduce us to all The Brotherhood of Tofu, they serve to begin to get to know the characters, to stop them from seeming unbearable to us, and so little by little we manage to connect with the series and we can enjoy what we are seeing, it was difficult, because yes, the characters are almost unbearable at first, at least for me, but that vision is changing throughout the chapters, and after three seasons I'm here wanting the fourth season that I did not know I needed and that was or is in production.
Something for which it is also possible that the beginning of the first season was difficult for me, is the fact of the quality of the animation, that is, it feels very poor and rustic, although it is good, that I can not deny, but it could be better, and that was changing with the course of the series, as it is too much appreciated and I love, because the changes between the first and third season are gigantic, the level of animation rose a lot and more and more we are given impressive scenes.
El inicio de la serie es difícil, al menos lo fue para mí, no solo porque la vi en francés y me costó mucho acostumbrarme a eso, si no que el inicio se siente por completo como si todos los capítulos fueran de relleno, como si fueran misiones secundarias y no la misión principal que es la razón por la cual me quedé viendo la serie, pero después entendí que esos capítulos, aunque parezcan de relleno, son muy necesarios, pues nos presentan a toda La Hermandad del Tofu, sirven para comenzar a conocer a los personajes, a que dejen de parecernos insoportables, y así poco a poco logremos conectar con la serie y que podamos disfrutar de lo que estamos viendo, fue difícil, porque sí, los personajes son casi insoportables en un principio, al menos para mí, pero esa visión va cambiando con el transcurso de los capítulos, y después de tres temporadas estoy aquí queriendo la cuarta temporada que no sabía que necesitaba y que estaba o está en producción.
Algo por lo que también es posible que se me haya hecho difícil el comienzo de la primera temporada, es el hecho de la calidad de la animación, es decir, que se siente muy pobre y rústica, a pesar de que es buena, eso no lo puedo negar, pero podía ser mejor, y eso fue cambiando con el transcurso de la serie, como que se aprecia demasiado y amo, porque los cambios entre la primera y la tercera temporada son gigantes, el nivel de animación subió mucho y cada vez más nos dan escenas impresionantes.
I started watching Wakfu because I wanted to watch something light to pass the time while I was detoxing from Supernatural, I couldn't, I came back to it later and I completely fell in love with the whole universe of Wakfu, because things are becoming bigger and bigger than we think, more complicated than we expect, they will surprise us more than once and there will come a point where we won't know what to expect because we have no idea what level they are going to put the story at, because it just grows and grows, it's amazing, and we can only be thankful that something that started being so simple has had one of the best developments we could have gotten, because the truth is, it is impressive the level at which things ended in the third season, and the fourth season just promised to make everything a thousand times better, with a new story arc, a new villain, and we would see so many other different facets of our characters, besides seeing the true power of new characters that we didn't have time to see completely in the third season.
This is a very good series, the beginning can be difficult, as well as weird, but it is worth it, here I leave you a trailer, which is also weird, for better options start watching the series, survive the first 12 chapters, and then you can enjoy something very well done.
Comencé a ver Wakfu porque quería ver algo ligero para pasar el tiempo mientras me desintoxicaba de Supernatural, no pude, volví a ella después y me enamoré por completo todo el universo de Wakfu, porque las cosas cada vez se van convirtiendo en más grandes de lo que creemos, más complicadas de lo que esperamos, nos sorprenderán más de una vez y llegará un punto en el que no sabremos qué esperar porque no tenemos idea del nivel en el que van a poner la historia, porque solo crece y crece, es increíble, y solo podemos agradecer de que algo que comenzó siendo tan simple haya tenido uno de los mejores desarrollos que podríamos haber obtenido, porque la verdad, es impresionante el nivel en el que las cosas terminaron en la tercera temporada, y la cuarta temporada solo prometía volver todo mil veces mejor, con un nuevo arco argumental, un nuevo villano, y veríamos otras tantas diferentes facetas de nuestros personajes, además de ver el verdadero poder de nuevos personajes que no tuvimos tiempo de ver por completo en la tercera temporada.
Esta es una muy buena serie, el inicio puede ser difícil, además de raro, pero vale la pena, ahí les dejo un trailer, que también es raro, para mejores opciones comiencen a ver la serie, sobrevivan los primeros 12 capítulos, y ya después podrá disfrutar de algo muy bien hecho.
