He is Lalchand Rajput, Former Indian cricketer.
His cricketing career comprises of 2 tests and 4 ODIs.
But the fact that every Indian cricket lover should know about him because of the following reasons:
He was then the Manager of the Indian Cricket Team that won the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007. That period was very difficult for Indian team because of the 2007 World Cup performance in West Indies and people needed something big from it players.
In 2016, he was named as Head Coach of Afghanistan’s Cricket Team. Under his tenure, Afghanistan cricket team defeated West Indies and were promoted to Full membership of the International Cricket Council. Thus, achieving the ICC’s test cricket status.
Recently, he has been named as the Coach of Zimbabwe Cricket Team (Interim).
He was the Coach of India’s U-19 Cricket Team for a short period in 2007.
He was also the Coach of Mumbai Indians in the inaugural season of IPL.
