Looking forward to Hive-Engine stuff... BUT...

PeakD.com needs a link to explain token security for Hive-Engine... I can't find one.

And then I fell into a rabbit hole and I have a lot to say about Hive-Engine... so let's commence.

COOL PRODUCTS

I listen to the Hive-Engine developer meeting each week. Cool hearing them talk about so much development of so many products.

Also... I have used the Diesel Pools several times to swap DEC/HIVE
Presently DEC is the only pool with enough liquidity to really work with but I have high hopes for the other pools as they are much easier to deal with at times than the exchanges that also suffer often from lack of liquidity.

I have also used the exchanges a decent amount... i have to create a spreadsheet just so i can compute the amounts into USD so I can make solid decisions because hive does go up and down a lot.
Obviously I have used several tokens on hive-engine like DEC, SIM and LEO and recently the airdrop for CUB
I constantly tip with swap tokens like btc/doge
I have even supported artists and bought a few NFTs on @nftshowroom

AN EXTRA WORD ABOUT SWAP POOLS
No fees for using swap pools is nice for a swapper like me but it also means the pools are really small and slippage is too big to trade much right now. Perhaps it does make wash trading easier which I guess could be a good thing to allow arbitrage operators the chance to quickly and easily stabilize prices. In any case I've been eagerly awaiting the increase of liquidity in these pools.

In comes a new reward system... token owners will apparently be able to push some inflation toward liquidity providers and perhaps get people to put in lots more liquidity.
So we are going to have more liquidity in these pools???
With some incentive to combat against impermanent loss and general risk I'd jump in as well I have some hive sitting to the side waiting.

BUT... i got to thinking will other people jump in with some serious liquidity?...

DOING MY RESEARCH

Then i got to thinking when I started to move ETH and BTC to Binance Smart Chain I spent many many hours listening to podcasts and reading about the chain and getting people's opinions about the risks of the chain and the pegged coin contracts and then the LP pools etc. I know there's risk but I read enough to feel much more comfortable and I saw the billions upon billions flowing in and I felt more comfortable.

So now i turn my attention back to Hive-Engine

There is NOTHING on Hive-engine or Tribaldex at all, Not a single word whatsoever, Not one article I could find linked about token security. Nothing to give liquidity providers a sense of safety and calm about the decision to put people at easy about putting thousands of dollars of liquidity into these pools.

As you can see the FAQ is completely empty and there is not a word on the home page and there is no central place to post about hive engine itself... no hive based community.

Looks like @aggroed has never used a central posting location like communities which I guess i can understand because he created his own API (scot-bot) that allows some sites to look at hive-tags and put extra incentive on them.

Which funny enough there seems to be bug on hivemind to get to that page so I couldn't go through it haha. (need to report the bug to hivemind developers and node operators)

So all in all if I can't easily find information about hive-engine then a new user stands no chance. It would be really nice to have that there and some words about security.

On one side @cubdefi starts and a couple weeks later they're pushing super hard to get a 3rd party audit certification and place it prominently on their site and help put users at ease about the contracts their using and their economic system.

Then I got to thinking... I have personally added lots of swap.hive and even some btc and doge (and paid a fee to have these) and I have bought some tokens from the exchanges as well and I would personally love to read up more about these things.

On the side of peakd.com we have added an entire wallet page and are planning on adding many more hive-engine related features. Also there are tons of projects on Hive that use these tokens.

WE NEED INFO... a link...

The issue is that PeakD doesn't have a link on our site to how Hive-Engine tokens work and what makes them safe for users. I think that's unacceptable. Perhaps many users won't care but it needs to be an option at least.

While their team pushes most new features to tribaldex.com i checked out hive-engine to see if I could find something. Their FAQ page had stuff but pretty much nothing to instill trust and help them know why their money is "safu"
Side note why did @harpagon dump most all of his BEE a little bit ago down to crazy low levels?

Anyway... we need a link and some good articles about Hive-Engine mechanics.
I know they just created a system to vote for witnesses... apparently making the system more decentralized (Side Note: PeakD was gonna get around to being one of those witnesses eventually, but just timing and so many other things going on, but also I wanted to understand what the role of those witnesses are first makes sense to be somewhat of an ambassador). But there is literally no link to how this works and why it's important or advertising how awesome it is on their site so users understand there is some decentralization going on.

Meanwhile PeakD did write a bit on the home page to make people feel comfortable about using Hive perhaps we could find and link some good articles to give those curious some more to read about... I assume the original steem whitepapers are way outdated haha.

A CALL FOR INSIGHTS

• Love to get some links to good articles (maybe we can link one on our Hive-Engine wallet page)
• Love to see @aggroed and team add some stuff to the FAQ page on tribaldex.com
• Maybe these witnesses know how to explain the safety of hive-engine tokens I would give a solid DOGE tip to every explanation and maybe we can use the best ones on our hive-engine wallet page.

I would super love to get a word about how you envision your role at decentralizing the safety of hive-engine tokens and maybe something we can use on peakd.com to put new users at ease about token security.

There was a hack on hive-engine prior to the witness system is that now not possible?
Come to think of it seems like all hacks make blockchain news but luckily the hive-engine hack barely got talked about on many blogs... not compared to how much most hacks get talked about. Come to think of it I'm not sure I understand the mechanics of how it went down.

A WORD TO THE WITNESS

How about the developers of hive projects and hive blockchain itself (heavily represented in the list below) it seems there isn't much usage among them which is I guess why most of them aren't participating in hive-engine governance.

I get that we hope to have TOKENS more closely tied to Hive some day... we waited on Steemit INC to do this for years. Presently doesn't look like we're pursuing tokens and soonest opportunity would be the following hardfork which I think are usually planned with lots and lots of time down the road so I'm guessing that means well over a year? (if it gets added at all)

So in any case knowing that they aren't coming to Hive any time soon why is there very little love for H-E tokens among Hive witnesses? Just haven't found a token you like? No projects inspiring you? Or adverse to H-E tokens in general?

Or maybe there lacks links and documentation giving you a sense of security about the system... which I can understand because well... there isn't any unless perhaps you dig through old hard to find hive posts??

@someguy123 and @stoodkev have worked with them and don't have any tokens.
@yabapmatt uses their product on splinterlands and yet doesn't have anything but LEO (probably splinterlands stuff is in another account)

Also I'm interested in perhaps hearing from @themarkymark ... I know he has at times been pretty harsh on @aggroed. Even at times seeming a bit unfair (Granted the marketing and presentation to the community of those nft games was super poorly done, I get it) but I do want to hear both sides and @themarkymark is legit the only hive witness that owns a ton of hive-engine coins besides @aggroed himself. For as much as he has said things in the past I haven't heard much since witnesses came out. Also he has a token he operates STEM and apparently paid to use the scot-bot service for the token and now gives them out to lots of users. He does seem to test out a lot of hive projects when they come out which seems to cool to have someone going out there and testing a lot of things and giving some solid technical advice on hive related stuff.

Anyway as someone who seems to be the most familiar with hive-engine on the list of hive witnesses I'd love if you would share some thoughts... hopefully pros and cons.
