Hi Everyone
I would like to show you a tutorial on How to install OpenOffice Ver. 4.1.4 on Windows 7. But before we we talk about technical things, it might be best to know a little basic about the software.
The OpenOffice is an Open Source Office software published by Apache, containing OpenOffice Writer, OpenOffice Math, OpenOffice Draw and more. It is a potent substitute for the famous Microsoft Office, and while Microsoft Office is quite expensive the OpenOffice comes free.
Now lets see how its done. Firstly we will need to download the software, you can simply visit https://www.openoffice.org/download/ or search "Openoffice" in google search.
Now click the top one, and we will arrive at the following page
Select your Operation System and the language. After you done with your choice, click the "Download Full Installation". And you will be directed to this
Your download will begins automatically.
Now we have the software on the download directory. Double clicks it to execute the installation
Now click "Next"
Leave the "Destination Folder" as it is, and click "Install"
After awhile this will pop up, and once again, click "Next"
Choose a User Name and Organization, They could be anything, you advised to use your name, then click "Next"
Now Installation type, for a first time user you should choose "Typical" it will install everything.
Now click "Install"
Now wait for the installation to complete
It is done, now click "Finish"
There will be a little registration process when you open the program for the first time, but do not be alarmed, it is simply a form filling, and you may skip it if you wish so.
Now we finally ready to use the Open Office
