So nice to see that you have finally reconnected with your friends. It's also very kind of you to mention Samuel and how you have reconnected with him as well and helped him out and supported him. That's really a nice thing that you've done. Just like you, I'm not very religious, and I come from a Roman Catholic background. However, I do believe in God, and in my heart, I believe in something bigger than all of this.

The kindness you've shared and the friendship you've offered to these friends is evidence that you don't have to be religious to be kind and show love. I guess it was not a cathedral that really brought you to that state of peace, but also spending time with people that grew up in it.
