Howdy folks and greetings from the Great Plains of North Texas!
Today I wanted to talk about an insect far away from here, (thank goodness) this one is found in the rain forests of South America.

Ok, this is the world's biggest dang insect and it's appropriately called the Titan Beetle. It grows to 6.5 inches long. It flies too, I can only imagine a bunch of those flying toward me. Check it out:
This thing can be dangerous too if children handle it because it's pinchers are strong enough to break a pencil in half!
Most insects I just step on if they look creepy but this one I'd use my six shooter on! lol...it's crazy big.
I also saw the world's biggest spider, the Goliath Birdeater, but then I realized that a spider isn't an insect is it? That's okay, I'll just throw this one in for free.
It is also found in the South American rain forests and has an average leg span of 11 inches!
Don't worry bird lovers, it doesn't really eat many birds, I guess just when it's desperate! I find it extremely creepy so I think the six shooter might be coming out again.
I mean shoot, you could probably hear that thing coming. How about a herd of em??
They're not actually dangerous or venomous. Well, not actually dangerous unless they scare you to death!
