Howdy macoolette! Maybe the number keeps rising because they are testing more people? That is the case here. For weeks the hospitals and doctors didn't have any testing kits so when they finally started testing the numbers went up real fast.

Yeah we are shocked by the traffic seeming the same volume and on the highways it is jammed with so many trucks, more than we've ever seen.

It is baffling, makes no sense except for grocery trucks trying to keep the stores stocked up because people are still buying more and hoarding.

Besides that, most restaurants are closed so people are buying more food from stores than normal. That fact alone makes it hard for stores to keep up because they aren't used to stocking that much and then when you add the shortages it becomes worse.

Lots of people here are not taking it seriously too so I guess it is human nature. But yes, we are under the stay-at-home orders unless going out for fuel, food, or medicine or the bank. But I think many people are ignoring the rules. So far they are not limiting the number of people who can go into stores.
