Howdy folks and greetings from the Great Plains of North Texas!
Yesterday I found another great sculptor while I was scouting around online. He calls himself a Metal Evolutionist which is pretty darn clever I think because he takes old scrap metal and turns it into stunning artwork.
I love the way these guys do this. . .they teach themselves how to weld and just start creating! His name is Brian Mock and he hails from up around Portland, Oregon.
He's been an artist his whole life(mostly drawing and wood working)but didn't start welding until the 90's.
At that point his passion for sculpturing exploded and he's been very successful with his work in galleries all over the country.
I'll show a few of his pieces today and some tomorrow because there's so many. I think this lion is my favorite:
He does all kinds of animals:
Check out all the utensils that make up the tail feathers and then it's body is all forks!
Here's a cute little guy:
An amazing octopus table:
The proportions are always perfect.
And the variety is endless:
He welcomes commission work of course and loves to be challenged so send him some ideas.(along with your budget!)
Here's Brian with a custom piece. He does anything from tiny to over ten feet tall:
Here's my second favorite. Had to be a Texan that ordered these!
Dang, those are cool! Every artwork is 100% from scrap metal, old cars, and junk yard junk. I gotta run but I'll have more tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by folks, God bless you all!
