What I see before me at this moment in my life, can be a success, a failure, a challenge or an opportunity.
Personally, I have always had, and I am very careful about believing that success, smile and achievements are a proof of inner peace.
Unfortunately, I have just remembered in the most painful way, that on the outside you can be shining while on the inside you are fighting a battle that no one sees. And you may be wondering, what are you reading, how can I help someone who seems to be doing well but maybe is suffering in silence?
Well, really, I pay attention to the look, I ask up to twice, I listen without rushing answers, because behind an automatic "all right” there is often someone emotionally doped up, who lost hope and evades expressing his reality.
And if the one who is carrying the burden of failure, that's me, I always remember that talking on time and seeking professional help, is what opens the exit that the internal pain makes us believe has already closed.
Because chasing after what is not for us tends to wear us down, rob us of peace and take us away from what we really need. Sometimes, we insist so much on opening a closed door that we stop seeing the ones that are already waiting for us. Similarly, letting go does not mean giving up on our dreams, but trusting that what is aligned with our purpose, will come at the right time.
I try to make my words better than silence...We need to get out of the inertia of our beliefs.
