We (husband and I) found Ollie's in another city from which we live, visiting our son. We would see it as we drove by, and wonder what it was. Finally, we decided to drop in and take a look around. We bonded immediately. We found another closer to where we live, maybe 15 miles away. We go there maybe every other month. It's like shopping in a bargain basement, the whole store is a bargain basement. We also stock up on groceries as well - no refrigerated products. Plus, when you shop and join, you receive a discount card in the mail every so often. It will be 10 -15% off your total order, which is already
discounted.
A lot of stores have been closing. Chances are, you'll find their merchandise at Ollie's. Of course, you never know what you'll find - it's like a treasure hunt. Still, there are regular sections with changing products. I'll name a few to give you an idea: books, health and beauty, crafts, stationery, rugs/flooring, food (bottled, canned, spices, snacks, candy, drinks), kitchen gadgets and small appliances, automotive, household, clothing, gardening, cleaning.
Here's an example of savings. We would buy Lara bars for about $1.00 a piece on sale. Then we found them at Ollie's for $7.99 a box of 16. Of course there are limited flavors. We found new flavors this way that we really liked. When we couldn't find them, we found replacements. Our last shopping trip, we found them again and bought 4 boxes plus we had our discount 15% coupon card - so you can imagine how you can save. If you are a budget stretcher, or a bargain hunter, and still like to get out and shop once in a while - Ollie's will be a Eureka for you, if you are fortunate to find one in your area .
