Great post, Mike. This is a great topic for a video and I think you've inspired me to write a bit about this in the near future. I kind of relate it to paying into a mortgage vs renting. Not that there is anything wrong with renting if that's what works for you, however, it's the difference between paying into your own pocket (long term) vs a landlords pocket. In other words, investing in yourself.

Maybe that's an odd analogy but it's where my brain went LOL
