A couple of days ago, @manuphotos contacted me because we had a pending meeting to organize the whole theme of HiveCubaCon, the biggest Hive meeting we do in our country and that in this 2023 we will celebrate its second edition. So, we arranged to meet at the entrance of the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, a place that has a very large and very comfortable outdoor terrace.

It might seem crazy with the heat of my Havana in these summer days, but the truth is that under the very leafy trees we hardly noticed those high temperatures. Although we did have to change tables on one occasion because the sun was already beating down on ours.

There, between comments and laughter, we could enjoy some good Cuban beers and some Frapuccino to refresh, you know....I can't do without caffeine.

@manuphotos, @crptogeek, @aylemp, @noakmilo and I talked a bit about our individual experiences within the blockchain and the different topics that could be addressed within the framework of the event. We saw some input on ideas and distribution of topics and work. Occasionally there was a very funny surprise moment, but it's not for me to tell 🤣. Surely the protagonist will tell it.....

I can't say much about what we talked about so as not to spoil the event, except to say that it's going to be very interesting and if you're in Cuba, don't miss it!

We talked a lot and our dear Aylen, who is almost in her third trimester, commented that little Alana was starting to get hungry. So we decided to go to a restaurant in the hotel's own garden, but this time in a place with floor-to-ceiling glass and air conditioning.

There were some dishes on the menu that were too expensive for our budget and others that were quite affordable. I wanted a squid in its ink, but unfortunately it was out of stock. UFF!
Without realizing it, the four of us ended up ordering the same menu 🤣 which wasn't necessarily the cheapest, don't get me wrong 🤣 although it went a bit that way... 😅.

Once inside, we didn't stop talking about HiveCubaCon, with the goal of making HIVE reach the attending public in a fun and easy way. Part of the focus is on entrepreneurship businesses.

A delicious and very cold lemonade was also available to cool us off !!!!!

In the end, we paid the bill together and said goodbye, with several tasks to accomplish and to have ready for the event. Besides having spent a great morning in the company of friends, some of them known through Hive, who have a great human quality and a tremendous desire to advance Hive in our island.

It was time to take a taxi, known in Cuba as ¨Almendrones¨, and go home!!!!

What we didn't know at the time was that we had chosen a very special day to share with each other, as it was just yesterday that we celebrated July 30th:

Hace un par de días, @manuphotos me contactó pues teníamos pendiente un encuentro para organizar todo el tema de HiveCubaCon, el mayor encuentro que hacemos de Hive en nuestro país y que en este 2023 celebraremos su segunda edición. Asi pues, quedamos en vernos en la entrada del Hotel Nacional de Cuba, un lugar que tiene una amplísima y muy confortable terraza al aire libre.

Podría parecer una locura con los calores de mi Habana en estos días de verano, pero la verdad es que debajo de los muy frondosos árboles apenas se notaban esas altas temperaturas. Aunque sí tuvimos, en una oportunidad, que cambiar de mesa pues a la nuestra ya le pegaba el sol.

Allí pudimos disfrutar entre comentarios y risas de unas buenas cervecitas cubanas y algún que otro frapuccino para refrescar, ya saben....en mí, la cafeina no puede faltar.

@manuphotos, @crptogeek, @aylemp, @noakmilo y yo estuvimos conversando un poco de nuestras experiencias individuales dentro de la blockchain y de los diferentes temas que se podrían abordar el marco del evento. Vimos algunos aportes de ideas y distribución de temas y trabajo. Hubo algún que otro momento sorpresa muy divertido, pero eso no lo voy a narrar yo 🤣. Seguramente su protagonista lo dirá...

No puedo decir mucho de las cosas que conversamos para no hacer spoiler del evento, solo comentar que será muy interesante y si estas en Cuba, no deberías dejar de ir!

Conversamos bastante y nuestra querida Aylen con su embarazo casi cerca del tercer trimestre comentó que ya empezaba la pequeña Alana a tener hambrita. Por lo que decidimos pasar a un restaurante ubicado en el propio jardín del hotel, pero ya este si en un espacio con cierre acristalado de piso a techo y climatizado.

En la carta habían algunos platos excesivamente caros para nuestros bolsillos y otros bastante asequibles. Yo quería un calamar en su tinta pero, tristemente no tenían disponibilidad. UFF!
Sin darnos cuenta terminamos los cuatro pidiendo el mismo menú 🤣 que no necesariamente era el más barato, no sean mal pensados 🤣, aunque iba un poco por ahí la cosa...😅

Allí dentro no paramos de continuar conversando sobre el HiveCubaCon, con el objetivo de hacer HIVE llegar al público que asista, de una manera amena y sencilla. Algo del enfoque está dirigido a los negocios de emprendimiento.

Pudimos refrescar también con una sabrosa y muy fría limonada!!!

Al terminar pagamos la cuenta entre todos y nos despedimos con varias tareas por delante para cumplir y tener listas para el evento. Además de haber pasado una mañana estupenda en compañía de amigos, algunos de ellos conocidos a través de Hive, que poseen una gran calidad humana y ganas tremendas de poder hacer avanzar a Hive en nuestra isla.

Ya tocó el turno de tomar un taxi, que en Cuba conocemos por ¨Almendrones¨ y para casita!!!

Lo que no sabíamos en ese momento, es que escogimos un día muy especial para compartir entre todos, pues justamente ayer 30 de julio se celebró el :
