Yeah, the internet and cell phones really kind of destroyed a lot of classic horror tropes, didn't they? No more "let's go look up the haunted old house's history at the creepy old town library or newspaper morgue" scenes. Cell phone question is a toughie. I'd have someone accidentally spill water on it or drop it in the toilet. Or somebody bleed all over it :)
