Hey thanks! BTW, I'm sorry I missed your older post about the book Are You in the House Alone? and didn't get a chance to comment until now. As you observed in your post, those old TV movies are totally my jam! As a kid, I used to practically pee my pants with excitement when those ABC "Movie of the Week" titles would play along with the unforgettable music. And that overly dramatic voiceover guy: "Olivia DAHAVILLAND...in...The SCREAMING Lady..." I'm definitely going to move that book up to the top of mylist.
A lot of those old films can be found on YouTube. There's this guy who runs a channel called "TVTerrorland" who has posted a lot of them. Even Amazon is starting to stream some of the better-known ones. Unfortunately, I bet a lot of the original masters have been lost because some of the Amazon ones are just VHS transfers. A lot of discussions about them can also be found on the site Kindertrauma, which is a riot with commenters weighing in on the scenes that terrified them the most as kids. I watched Gargoyles(1972) with Cornel Wilde on YouTube just yesterday.
