I would never hurt you my old pal, but Vincent may challenge you to fisticuffs :). The original is a French film from the 50s by Henri-Georges Clouzot, starring his wife, Vera. Much admired by Hitchcock

You're right, the first one does look a little bit better. I think both of those YouTube channels belong to the same guy, Chris Johnson. A few years back he had one monster channel under his own name,

Vincent, Michael -- you guys rock! The Philip Kaufman version of Body Snatchers is one of my all-time favorite films! I actually saw it in the theatre when it first came out (one of my college movies,

I've not seen the remake either, but really, what could top early De Palma?

Speaking as someone who was bullied a lot in middle school/high school, I am pro-Carrie all the way! Carrie is a goddess. Although it was sad that she killed the gym teacher who tried to help her.

Yes, I have seen Carnivale (although I never finished it.) Something Wicked This Way Comes by Bradbury is one of my all-time favorite novels. The 1983 movie that was released by Disney changes the plot

Although, I do know a lot of film history without looking it up in IMDb. :) You have a lot of the same favorites as I do: The Shining, The Innocents, Don't Look Know. Do you like Vertigo and Picnic at

No it just has to be a traditional winter holiday from a northern hemisphere perspective-- Christmas, winter solstice, Hanukkah etc. Christmas in blazing heat is fine.

I'm almost 20 years older than you are! I watch all genres and look a lot of stuff up in IMDb.

Cool! We usually shoot for around a 5,000 word count -- if you want to go over, that's okay too. 10K is the upper limit. Just shoot me anything you have that's in the fiction realm--I already know you

Crawlspace is great, very creepy but very sad also. I watched it when it was first broadcast, then caught again years later on TVTerrorland. The actor who plays the lead role is great but he did not have

Hey thanks! BTW, I'm sorry I missed your older post about the book Are You in the House Alone? and didn't get a chance to comment until now. As you observed in your post, those old TV movies are totally

The basic story is good, but it could have been filmed SO much better. It's the difference between a master filmmaker like Wise or Hitchcock, and a journeyman TV director. Sorry to hear about your sister!

Love this sentence: "And then there's Zaroff. Good Lord, is there ever Zaroff. Leslie Banks plays the mad Count to the hilt, leaving so many teeth marks over the scenery you could use them to re-create

One of my favorite short stories of all time, but I've never seen any tv or film versions. I need to check it out!

It's a great film, Vince.

One of my favorite films of the 80s. Would you believe I was one of the 6 people in the US who saw it when it first came out in the theater? It would probably be better known but talk about bad timing

I haven't seen it -- that sounds interesting.

Holy crap. This was my 666th post! I should have posted something about The Exorcist or The Omen!

Lol!
