I couldn't agree more. Since before, Filipino mentality has always been like that. Not just in poor families, even the rich ones. They would train their children in business matters so that they could run their businesses when the time comes. But not rich kids agree to that. Just like how poor children dislike taking on family responsibilities... Should we blame our ancestors then? I hope we can. This cycle will never end, especially when parents are uneducated and poor. They would always rely on their children, and children would either rebel or be inconsiderate to take their freedom or stay to take the responsibilities.

I just hope someday, this would be taught in school too 😅.. Or maybe it could be part of family planning programs. Because seriously, it wasn't our choice to be born. Why would we carry the burdens?

When I was younger, I even told myself, "I wish I wasn't born" or "I wish I could choose parents" hilarious to reminisce but it does make sense.
