These pictures of mine today are of Dhanmondi Lake in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
The lake surrounds the VIP residential area of ​​Dhanmondi.

According to Wikipedia,
"the lake was originally an abandoned canal on the Kawran Bazar River in Dhaka, which joins the Turag River.
Later, in 1956, the area around Dhanmondi Lake was developed as a residential area on 240.64 hectares of land. In this development project 16% of Dhanmondi residential area was allocated for lake."

This lake is now known as a place of interest. Especially in the morning and in the afternoon, health conscious people have a wonderful time sitting on the shores of this lake. Fairs are held on the shores of this lake at special times of the year.
Moreover, on festival days like 1st Baishakh, people gather more in the lake. Different cultural organizations often organize some of their cultural events in this lake.

Although this lake is located in the VIP area. Even then it is open to the public.
Anyone can sit here and enjoy the natural beauty.

Dhanmondi Lake has no specific opening and closing schedule. However, visitors can stay from 5.00 am to 10.00 pm. No ticket is required to enter the lake.

Dhanmondi Lake is now one of the famous sights of Dhaka. The lake was renovated in 1995.
