As for the musical choice, it was a very oblique nod to French/Parisian avant-garde composers and artists. (Think Edgard Varèse, for example, though admittedly I'm no Varèse.)

A further contrasting or complicating factor may be that the footage here was shot in and around Ottawa, Canada rather than Paris, France. While I enjoy living in Ottawa, it ain't Paris, so I'll leave it to viewers to wrestle with what "As if by magic, Paris arrived" actually means in this context.
