Meet Vice President, Irwandi reports Investment Growth in Aceh
Jakarta - The Governor of Aceh Irwandi Yusuf reported various investment developments in Aceh, to Jusuf Kalla, at the Vice President's Office on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.
"Through Mr. JK, we ask the central government to encourage investment to Aceh, and to maintain its commitment to foreign investment in Aceh," explained Irwandi after meeting Kalla.
As is known, two companies from Turkey, Hitay Holding U.S. and Usa Uretim Energy Act, have already made an MoU with the government in Turkey, to invest in the energy sector in Aceh. But until now, there are still licenses that hampered the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Hitay Holding U.S. will invest in Geothermal Energy at Gunong Geurudong, Bener Meriah.
For the initial phase, Hitay will develop 110 megawatts of geothermal energy, and a next 110 megawatt phase, out of the 220 available geothermal potential.
Meanwhile, US Energy Uretim Aksa will work on a project to build a gas power plant in Aceh. In addition there is also a commitment of Qatar that will invest in tourism Sabang and Kek Arun.
"For Hitay, it is necessary to accelerate the PSPE (Assignment of Preliminary Survey and Exploration) from the ESDM Ministry. Hitay himself is very ready, "explained Governor Irwandi.
At the meeting, Irwandi Yusuf also requested support from the Vice President in order to accelerate the process of asset management of Arun-Lhokseumawe KEK to BUPP (Enterprise Management and Builder) SEZ Area, PT. Patriot Nusantara Aceh. It is in accordance with the KEK Law and Government Regulation No. 5 of 2017 on the Arun-Lhokseumawe KEK.
Yesterday (12/2/2018) at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs has also been done Signing of MoU Cooperation of Operational Activities of State Owned Goods in the form of Arun LNG plant assets, between State Asset Management Agency (LMAN) with PT. Patriot Nusantara Aceh as the Regional Enterprise Management and Builder of SEZ Area.
Irwandi also reported a conducive security situation in Aceh, although there are three districts / cities that will follow the elections, namely: South Aceh, Pidie Jaya, and Subulussalam.
On his report, said Irwandi, the Vice President supports the efforts made by the government. And promise to encourage the acceleration of investment in Aceh.
The arrival of the Governor to the Vice Presidential Palace was accompanied by the Head of Public Relations and Protocol Bureau of Aceh Government, Mulyadi Nurdin, and Head of the Office of Investment and Integrated Services One Door Aceh, Iskandar.
