There were some black ants too and I guess they wanted the sap of the flowers.
The ants don't damage the plants themselves, but they protect the aphids (also against ladybirds) because they provide them with a sweet juice secreted from their abdomen in return. You could say that the aphids are the ants' 'milk cows'.
I also noticed this fella was looking at me while I look for some other insects too.
That's actually not an insect but a jumping spider (family Salticidae).
