We live in a time where we have all the tools we need to create the business or art or idea that we want to. Tools for entrepeneurs and creators are more capable and available than ever. We've got all the usual suspects people have made money with in the past: youtube, facebook for advertising, instagram, twitter, and now we have a whole slew of new tools and opportunities available to us, including the blockchain based apps like steemit. There's Patreon, kickstarter, and gofundme for raising money based on the work you want to do, publishing on medium, tools like canva and pixlr, website editors like wordpress and wix. There are countless ways to find support, income, and followers, and there's no reason we shouldn't be making an effort to use them if we have the goal of creating our own work, our own products.

Not only do we have these tools, we also have near unlimited intellectual resources. The amount of information on the internet is staggering, you can pretty much dig up anything. Countless books, videos, entire life works of the greatest minds to live, we have everything we need to learn. And now there are hundreds and thousands of online courses available to learn any skill we'd like to learn. And all of this we get to carry around in our pocket, smartphones, whether you like them or not, are extremely capable devices. We can do pretty much anything on the go now.

So why are so few of us taking shots? Why aren't we spending those few hours of free time building something if we don't like the position we hold, the job, the place we live, our physical health? There are solutions and opportunities online the likes of which have never been available.

Get out there and start working on something, whatever it is you want to work on. Write a book, make a movie, start a business, write a blog, get a social media following, learn to cook, learn to play an instrument, then take those skills and show them to people. Share your life, your passion, your love.

With all the automation heading our way the job market we used to know will start to dwindle. We will start running out of jobs. So maybe it's time to redefine what a job is, what is valuable. Could we start to tell people they are valuable for their unique passions and drive, for their ideas and art? Why not, even just being a part of steemit you are a part of that movement. Money from nothing, chicks for free.
