God has a purpose for calling us into His vineyard and the purpose results in glory and success. Sometimes we feel as if God has deserted us, hence, the many troubles but He'll never leave nor forsake us. What is it that the Lord has begun in your life that seems stagnant, to be halted, retarded etc making you feel you're on your own? Brethren God did not bring you this far to disgrace but to grace you with honour, quality health and sustainable feature. Know that He'll bring to a successful end whatever He's commenced in your life. Pain is for a while but joy is everlasting so hold on to Him.
