We learn that many years have passed since the end of the Trojan War, but Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, has not yet returned to his kingdom. In the palace, his faithful wife Penelope, his son Telomechus, and a loyal many waited every day in the hope that one day or another Odysseus would definitely return. But except for these three, almost everyone believed that Odysseus had died long ago. Meanwhile, since there was no king in Ithaca for years, many influential people came to the palace and occupied it. Their only goal was to become the next king of Ithaca and own the throne.
They enjoyed the royal palace food and chess every day and pressured Penelope to marry again. So that she could take over the throne of Ithaca by marrying him. But Penelope set a condition before them. She wove a robe for herself and said that she would not marry again until the robe was finished. However, every night she secretly untied the woven part of the robe so that the work would never be finished. Meanwhile, their son Telomechus was also losing patience. He was desperate to find his father at any cost. One day, his bodyguard and tutor told him that one of Odysseus' closest friends lived in Sparta. Perhaps he could get some important news about Odysseus from him.
For this reason, Telomechus set out for Sparta with his bodyguard. Before leaving, he also informed his mother Penelope about the matter. When the enemies learned that Telomechus was going to Sparta, they decided to kill him on the way back. After reaching Sparta, the king himself welcomed Telomechus warmly. Then he told him the story of the victory of the king of Sparta and Odysseus in the historical Trojan War. The king of Sparta himself admitted that it would never have been possible for him to win this war if Odysseus had not been by his side. After the war, the king of Sparta returned to his kingdom with his wife. On the other hand, Odysseus slowly set off for home with the remaining army. On the way, they stopped at a deserted island in search of food. After a while, they found a large amount of food inside a cave. This food was not for any human or ordinary animal. It was the food stored by a huge one-eyed monster, the Cyclops. Cyclops are monsters who have only one eye. When the monster saw so many people in his cave, he went crazy with joy. He immediately rolled a huge stone and closed the mouth of the cave.
As night fell, he caught and ate many of Odysseus' companions. The next morning, when the Cyclops came out of the cave, some soldiers were trying to escape after him. But the monster caught their eye and ate them in an instant. Still, Odysseus did not give up. He took a huge spear from inside the cave and sharpened its head with fire. Taking the opportunity, he pierced the living spear vigorously into the Cyclops' only eye. Then they started sailing again. After getting lost, they reached a new island. There, they breathed a sigh of relief when they saw people from a distance. But when they got closer, they were surprised. The one they thought was a human was actually a small child. And after a while, when the people of that child's race came forward, it was understood that they were an unusually tall and very strong race. They also attacked Odysseus without saying a word.
Odysseus and a handful of soldiers managed to escape with difficulty. While running away, they reached a mysterious house. When he entered, he saw countless pigs roaming around. When the starving Odysseus asked the woman for food, she asked him to slaughter a pig. As they spoke, Odysseus realized that the woman was actually a sorceress. And all the pigs there were actually her soldiers. Whom she had turned into pigs by magic. At Odysseus' request, the sorceress first turned his companions back into humans. Then she told him that it was not possible to return home by sea. They would have to go through the mortal world. Odysseus reached the mortal world and offered a sacrifice on behalf of his ship. It was said that no matter how many years it took, only Odysseus would return home.
Finally, they set off again by sea. But they knew in advance that there were some magical water nymphs on this path whose magical sounds would make people lose their senses. So all the soldiers carefully closed their ears. Then they reached another island. There, numerous stone monsters attacked them. Then they went to an island where it was forbidden to kill animals. His companions killed animals there, which caused them to fall into a storm at sea again, where everyone died. Only Odysseus survived. He found himself on an unknown island. There, a young woman saved him and raised him for seven years. Odysseus built a raft. On the raft, Odysseus began his long journey again. Finally, after 20 long years, he returned to the land of Ithaca, all alone. Returning home, Odysseus did not reveal his true identity. He disguised himself as a poor beggar. Odysseus' son Telomachus was now in terrible danger. Because after going out to find his father, the enemies decided to kill him on the way back. He saved his son's life. After his life was saved, Telomachus decided to bring the beggar with him to the palace in gratitude.
Telomachus realizes that the man disguised as a beggar is none other than his own father Odysseus. Then, like the Bodhisattva, another Bodhisattva meeting is held in the palace. Penelope declares in front of everyone that she is ready to marry. Then we see a bow competition where the beggar wins. At that moment, Odysseus reveals his true identity in front of everyone. A terrible battle begins. Odysseus deals a fatal blow. With that blow, Antinous dies. This is how all the greedy candidates and enemies end up one by one. Finally, peace returns to the palace. Odysseus returns to the throne of Ithaca. However, he does not decide to sit on that throne and reign. Instead, he hands over the responsibility of the kingdom to his son Telomachus. And with his wife Venalope, he sets off on the path of exile in search of peace.
