Life's not fair and people seldom care.
To wrapped up in their own world to know that you are there.
Drowning on dry land but no one understands.
Too busy doing their own thing to give a helping hand.
It's a crying shame that no one feels your pain.
Looking in from the outside and nobody knows your name.
They don't care all so happily ignorantly unaware.
Like a ghost at the window you can only stop and stare.
Cast aside, left choking on swallowed pride.
The face of the faceless but you've still got no place to hide.
She starts to cry but no one will ask her why.
They're all caught up in their own world to care if she lives or dies.
So she walks home dejected and alone.
Tonight is the one night, she shouldn't be on her own.
But there's no one there, no one can now save her.
She looks at herself in the mirror and sees hopelessness standing there.
What's the point of trying to go on.
She thinks no one will miss her after she is gone.
So she takes those pills prescribed to cure her ills.
She never wakes up in the morning, it's true that loneliness kills.
Her death and as in life were practically the same.
On the day of her funeral not one person came.
Life's not fair it was a game she couldn't win.
Like a ghost at the window on the outside looking in.
