I don't choose to sign up for that course.

In my mind, unless I get something from the time and energy expended, I just accept reality: liars lie, cheaters cheat, robbers rob, crazies do crazy things, etc.

That's why they do those things and are labeled as such.

I'm just grateful that the guy's buddies didn't show up too. Then I would really have to call the police!

The lesson I learned?

Never, ever, ever tell people I do not know very well where I live!
