Describing introspection is by no means an easy task for anyone, especially from the third person's point of view.
Kudos for accomplishing that feat so well.
It enables your readers to comfortably empathize and identify - sans the usual mental hoop-jumping that's required for lesser prose.
No mental gymnastics required. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the story.
