I remember the "love bug" season in Florida.

While driving on the highway, bug splatter accumulated so fast on the windshield that my father would have to stop every hour and "debug" the windshield enough to drive safely.

Much like aviation's "IFR" - Instrument Flight Rules, maybe in the near future all cars can go "IDR" - Instrument Drive Rules.
