Your post reminds me of this:
While on active duty, I packed up all my household goods and belongings and transferred to my next duty station every 3-4 years.
Upon settling into the new place, I rarely opened more than 5-10 per cent of the boxes; usually stashing the rest in a dark corner of the garage where they were instantly out of sight, out of mind.
Time passed. Many duty stations came and went.
And of course, with each subsequent move, more boxes were added to the growing pile of unopened boxes.
Midway through my 24 years of service, I had amassed a mountain of those boxes that by this time could be called "mystery" boxes; namely because by then, I had no idea what was in most of them!
Guess what?
I decided to store them in a storage unit in Florida.
And of course, I forgot all about it until many years later when I began watching "Storage Wars!
I'd venture to guess that whoever bought my "abandoned" storage space probably was overjoyed with all the Pandora Boxes left behind!
To be honest, I do remember what was in some of those boxes.
Here's a hint:
"Visualize some pristine HKs, Glocks and AKs!"
Something to ponder, indeed...
Namaste, JaiChai
