As a child, my father's job forced my family to move about every three years. Consequently, I was the perpetual "New Kid" on the block and in school for over a decade and a half.

On the one hand, when I joined the military, relocating every three to four years was old hat to me. But on the other hand, I can rarely remember landmarks from my childhood.

It's good that you had the stability that allows you to virtually walk through "memory lane".
