As with most American Indian tribes, the Comanche culture was decimated by the White Man's spread to the West.

Their accompanying European diseases - of which the indigenous population had no immunity to - were especially brutal and became a potent method of genocide.

Fast forward to the present and see that the cultural extermination is almost complete, with only ~1% of today's Comanche Indians capable of speaking their native language "Numic".
