The answer is a bit complex, as you say "everything depends on the use that is given to those photographs". Personally, these should be taken only if used for a social study, however these photographs should have the permission of those involved after they are taken, so as not to alter the study process, however, celebrities already have the lost privacy although that to them brings more fame.
