It's harder for newer users to catch up, and a fair chunk of my holdings were a boost from swapping STEEM to HIVE after the fork, but it remains possible to earn a good stake through creation and curation alone even without being an "investor," and that's pretty unique in our system compared to the wider cryptoverse.
