I'm closer to 40 than 30, and I just fell into being a librarian for nearly a decade after a miserable short career in sales that I leapt into as a stopgap when the market crash killed my aspirations as a draftsman back in early 2009. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but I am tired of the bureaucracy and bullshit where I am. I want independence. I want a business built on mutual consent and not funded by extortion. But I also want some security. I think I'll have to abandon security if I want freedom from nonsense.
