For years now, there have been stories every summer of cities demanding children get business licenses for lemonade stands and the like, with some towns proactively passing exemptions for minors in response. It's insane. Some of us see all such taxes as an imposition to denounce, while others somehow see it as necessary for society to flourish. It's amazing we as a species managed to walk upright without some knuckle-dragging bureaucrat charging a bipedal tax and demanding a walking license.
