I thought I mentioned it, but it seems to have gotten deleted in the editing process. The Altoids tin I need to find again had a thimble, needles wrapped in thread, and other repair supplies.there is also some gorilla tape wrapped around one of the bottles, and I have a small bag of better tent/gear repair patches and whatnot.

Dry weight is around 35 lbs, or 15-16 kg, so not too bad, but still not too great either. That's why I'm asking here for advice.

I'm using the shovel because I have it already, not because it's ideal. I have looked at a variety of options from gardening trowels to extreme ultralight backpacking options.
