I think TDS is a real thing. It's a result of the cognitive dissonance inherent to statism. Trump is doing bad things, but we love the system he represents, so we need to makenup russian collusion and other nonexistent crimes so we don't need to consider the inherent criminality of the State. It's like the birthers during Obama'a presidency.
