@ecoinstant kindly gave away a Steam key for Dungeons 3, and I have finally managed to download the game and give it a go. His only request was that I write about the game. This isn't a full review or anything, but as you can see by the screenshot, I have passed the tutorials!

I had to verify the narrator voice. As I suspected, it's the Stanley Parable narrator, Kevan Brighting! They certainly cast the perfect actor for that sardonic, sarcastic, snooty kind of voice. I sure hope he isn't like that in real life...

Gameplay is a blend of exploration and base development plus occasional raid defenses in your dungeon lair, and simple battles on the surface as your spread your evil influence across the land and grow your army of disposable minions. A tech tree limits development, and various resources must be gathered to progress. As you should be able to see above, evil itself is a resource to be earned.

I have also started the campaign proper. Dialogue and text make reference to other fantasy properties in a humorous way. The good guys are the most irritatingly smarmy pompous buffoons. More may come soon. Perhaps even some video clips if I decide to finally get on 3speak. It's gonna be fun to be eeeeeevil...
