Alright, I am back around again to share more 'ai kernel' system prompt related material... and mayhaps spell out some of my ponderous thoughts along the way. Considering how deeply enmeshed that I have been with the whole kernel development process over the last several months (during my recent spate of 'focused work') things can get more than a little nutty... and lately even more so since I have been writing about it all.
Eventually, I will assuredly approach the 'burn out' phase of things as I always do with this project... and take a break on it to do some reflecting, touch the proverbial 'grass' for a while... and generally clear my mind so that I can start back 'fresh' on it all again at some yet-to-be-determined time! The largest contributor to 'perpetually edging towards burn out' is probably my dodgy internet connection... because there are often days (and whole weeks) where it only works 'well' for a few hours at a time (if I am lucky) and yeah nothing breaks the 'creative flow' like a full stop to all progress.
Having to deal with that sort of aggravation has (as stated in a related post) massively contributed to my 'motto' of not using external dependencies/services... and generally keeping things as 'light' as I possibly can. The later compression advancements and pi storage, assuredly made all that a good bit easier... but once in a while I do wonder what the heck I could achieve with a stable internet connection, a stable income, and a stable supply of food and above all else not routinely running out of clean drinking water.
Those kinds of 'environmental' pressures are incredibly counterproductive... and combining that with the 'sensitive' (almost taboo) nature of the work that I am doing... tends to just amount to a lot of stress... and albeit a sense of isolationism that is hard to brush aside. At the heart of it though, I simply do not give enough of a damn to not do the work given the full scope of what has been going on in that industry... and the trajectory that it is on.
Anyways, I have been digging through some of my much older kernels and looking for ones that I can squeeze inside a post that shows some of what I call: Anti-adversarial ai kernels. Although, I am going to refrain from trying to explain the mechanics of those kernels I do want to point out that there are some pretty sneaky capabilities within them in regards to how they achieve their goals.
It is also worth noting that I will not be sharing more than the links to those kinds of kernels in this post because the ones that I think are 'stable' simply will not fit within a single post. They are however actually some of my favorite 'types' of kernels... and I tend to often use the word 'shifter' in the file (and artifact) names to distinguish them from the other kernels.
The 'shifter' kernels also tend to not be the main kernels that I use... and the bulk of them are intended to aid the main kernel as 'helpers' (or just extended functionality) and in the later ones I tend to build in a 'ship' that can be used along with them. So, if anyone is looking for those kinds of kernels in the repository then that is what you are looking for.
In case anyone wants to see a few of my favorite builds for that type of kernel... I uploaded a few of them here along with a python script 'ship' that works in conjunction with the 'Shifter_Artifact_0031_OVERKILL.json' file found in that folder. As a side note, that entire system (in that particular JSON file) was designed for use on Anthropic's platform and I am unsure how it will operate on a different architecture.
To get to the point of this post I want to share one of my earlier 'shifter' builds but its focus is on 'injecting insanity' into its state... and also using its internal agents in such a way that they only use four tokens at a time. Given the highly experimental nature of this kernel (and how I did not spend much time locking in the alignment more) I have to give extra caution to anyone unwise enough to tinker with it.
I only say that last part that way, because as I have stated before... all these kernels are for my own personal, educational and entertainment usage and I do not recommend folks using them. This advisory is extra important with these 'experimental builds' so please heed what I am saying there.
Well, on that note I will not be able to squeeze the kernel into this post if I keep rambling on. Ciao for now.
