Hello Everyone!

Lets get disproportionate, Intentionally writing less, A beast of a storm & A flooded meadow!

Alright, it is much earlier than when I usually begin my writing routine... and I have no idea why I want to get started on it now as opposed to my usual time... but here I am. Having almost begun the writing many hours ago I am glad that I waited... because I probably would have wound up writing something entirely too long winded... and skewed my new 'effort invested vs potential rewards' balance that I have been trying so hard to keep of late.

Not to get too hung up on that topic but really... the longer that I do this writing and sharing thing... the more that I am beginning to see just how skewed the effort versus reward really is. All of which is not to say that I think that I am writing some 'magnus opus' class stuff here or anything... but whoa the disproportionate nature of things is not something I am willing to ignore any longer... or at least not ignore without complaining about it all along the way!

Something about it all rubs the part of me that believes in 'fairness' in all the wrong ways... and recently I have even been considering dropping the proofreading and editing portion of things just to save some time. By no means am I a perfectionist (or even all that OCD for that matter) but just the thought of not 'giving it my best' does not sit well enough with me to omit the editing portion of my efforts.

Anyways, that big storm began to blow in last night not all that long after sunset... and grew in intensity until when it finally broke late this afternoon. It was kind of nuts actually... because today I got numerous tornado warnings on my phone... and I heard more consecutive severe weather alerts over the NOAA radio than I have ever heard before in a single day.

Although the wind blew super hard throughout the day (while it was dumping rain) I only heard one large bout of thunder... and whoa it rattled the entire frigging cabin to the point... that I thought that stuff was about to start falling over before it abruptly subsided. It was some pretty freakish weather if you ask me... and for the first several hours after I awoke it had the hairs on my arms standing on end... and me eyeing what all I would need to grab before diving under the bed if a tornado (or several tornadoes) formed.

There is still an active tornado warning for a few more hours and I believe it! It is all definitely worth keeping an eye on given that the western sky is incredibly blue, the eastern sky is dark with storm clouds, the wind is still making all the pines sway... and the temperature outside is steadily dropping.

At one point (once the storm lulled) I went hiking and found out that my wish for more downed branches near the shelter site got answered... and that thankfully no trees had fallen across the roads which is always good. I also noticed that the meadow is now completely flooded... and that it is way fuller with water than it was when I remarked upon it the other week.

Well, that is all the effort I am willing to commit for this entry. Have a nice time or something. Ta ta for now.
