Places of Sikkim are very dear to the pilgrims of Bengal. We are not exceptions. We decided three friends to go to Sikkim in this summer where there is a combination of nature and birds. One such place is Borik of South Sikkim. In the first week of May (2017) we started the journey of three photographers friends together. We reached NJP station at 9:50 pm by Kamarup Express from Khagraighat Station near Baharampur and reached at 7 am the next day for Borong. Then park the car outside of the station. The distance between Borong from NJP station is almost 147 km. We reached the wildflower retreat of Borong of Katam Bird Sanctuary ,Jorathang , Namchi, Rabanga, at around 1:30 pm. We were hungry, so had our quick lunch and then started our journey towards Borong. After lunch, we enjoyed Borong's natural beauty. There is no smell of pollution in this remote village located at an altitude of 5800 feet above sea level. There is no crowding or noise. This Borong is full of nature's donations. Norshing, Pandem, Seimbo etc. are seen from this Borong.Especially at this time there are Rhododendron flowers that attract more birds.
