Decentraland is a crypto currency where you can own land tiles, and use them for whatever you want. You can build on them, you can program them, and the possibilities are endless to what you can make with them. Decentraland is still in Beta, but anyone can test it out. You can even explore the world from your browser on https://decentraland.org/app
You should join the slack conversation to hear about what's happening, and how Decentraland is progressing. They are also having a Token Sale in August, so you can buy the actual currency that will be used on the main net. You will be able to buy what is called Mana Tokens, which you can use 1,000 Mana to claim a land tile. It will start August 8th, and the earlier you buy, the more of a discount you get.
