Many who are paying attention noticed that Steemit Inc under its new ownership coordinated with three exchanges a takeover of the Steem blockchain.
However, what I have noticed is that most do not understand the following fact:
All those so called "witnesses" are actually all running on one witness server.
So if that one server goes down all 20 witness accounts will be failing to sign off on blocks and the chain will once again go haywire.
It can happen even with 20 real people in 20 different countries, let alone 1 person and 1 server.
