The value of currencies on the open market such as BTC, HIVE, HBD are all dependent solely upon DEMAND.
Use cases for each currency expands the outreach and as such potentially increases the demand.
As far as UIs such as blogging platforms that are connected to the chain and utilize the ecosystem and the "rewards pool", that is all fine and mighty. The more diversity in that segment too, the merrier!
No arguments there.
Brave tips are based on the browser and builds them.
HiveTips is available on multiple browsers. Individuals choices to what browser they prefer to use are accommodated for/to.
As for the fintech equivalents, tbh, idk. I have heard of some people working on projects along those lines, but where they are at with them, idk. Have not kept up to date with any of that 'talk of the town'.
Elaborate:
The easiest way to elaborate without getting into an essay about the open currency markets and what drives them is the following comparison, or parallel that I have used to explain it to many people and most automatically get how it all works in the those markets and where HIVE and HBD stand in those market places:
There are over 7 billion people on the planet.
Some 4.5 billion are on the internet.
There are currently 18,478,943.75 bitcoins in existence.
So if you want some BTC, you need to fight for it.
Yet BTC transactions are not feeless and are far from anything that resembles "real time" (without middlemaning the transactions, which opens a pandoras box)
There are some 367,350,934 HIVE available on the market.
So BTC can rely on trading demand to potentially gain in value.
While HIVE with its much larger supply needs to really work much harder at building a demand for it to rise in value.
We need to literally ensure that HIVE can be utilized in as many different business arenas, i.e. the tipping/gratuities/donations market space out there on the net (only one example) which is a multi billion dollar turnover.
Why?
To build demand for HIVE.
How? Well, we need to offer something BETTER than others.
What does Hive have to offer "FAST & FREE" as we like to shorten down the under 3 second feeless transactions.
So we do have what it takes to tap into just about any market out there and by doing so increase the overall demand of the HIVE that is available on the open market.
It won't happen if we do not make the most of what we have to offer and make it available out there where people can have a real need for it, for what they wish to do with their money.
"Fast" is a relative thing, depends on the use case. We see that BTC gets away with snail speeds. So that may not be what gets people wanting to use HIVE instead of other cryptos or fiat.
"FREE", well, that is something that I am yet to meet a person who doesn't like saving money, especially when paying for things or doing monetary transactions. How many people or companies out there have a really big smile on their faces when they see how much the fees for transactions cost?
I am yet to meet that person who likes someone taking money out of their pockets.
... and then most people who sit back and think about, get it and see that this is what needs to be done if we are to build a demand for HIVE on the open market.
So saying "HIVE to the moon" is all nice and dandy, but actually building the means and then marketing them and then maintaining them, well there is yet to be a magic wand created to make that happen over night.
Hope this little elaboration helps.
