Simple enough:

Anyone who wishes that everyone be allowed to posses firearms is = extremist.

Logic needs to prevail. Such as laws that ensure that law abiding citizens be allowed to own firearms. That those who own firearms are fit for the responsibilities that come with owning firearms (namely: sane). That those who want to own firearms are educated in the theory and practical lessons, tested in this knowledge prior to being granted a license (same as a driving license as one example).

In my personal opinion, if a person refuses to accept these types of laws, then that person is being irrational and as such depending on their actions could be an extremist.
i.e. forcing their irrational opinions upon others.

Same applies for those irrational people who are on the other side of the fence. Among whom are obviously a number of politicians who are granted a lot of space in the mainstream media.

Logic and rationality need to apply to everything out there, especially when it concerns the handling of and ownership of anything that definitely requires it.

No, my family is not in the danger zone and there is no fear of there being any danger.
