But every private business such as this one has the right to manage their private business in a way that they believe will be best for them.

I don't want you to get the wrong impression, but that is the reality of running a business, such as this front end as one example.

However, the owners should take in all feedback such as yours and take it all into consideration when the time comes to modify their business plan to accommodate for the new markets that are out there, all ready and waiting to jump on board!

So, don't frown on it, because this type of approach is one that I fully support even if we as humans do make mistakes every now and then!
