Being in the Discord team Australia chat room having a nice conversation with one of my Aussie mates there who is practically always around while everyone else is already in bed, as I am in Europe and well, they are all back home in Australia.... 10 hour time difference...... we got onto a topic of Photo's and the stories they all hold in them.

I mentioned how I never liked being photographed, nothing religious or cultural, I don't think that photos are stealing my soul or anything, just never liked it, one of those pet hates I guess.

As a result I don't have many photos to show from my past and to me each and every photo brings back a lot of memories and a lot of stories too.

So no matter what photo is at question, remember, there is a story to go with it, no matter if the photo may look bland or silly or just something that no one would care for, there are 101 stories behind every single photo you have. Especially those that were all natural without the classical posing for a photo Say Cheese" and this doesn't refer to anyone cutting the cheese, so to say!

Earlier on when I was like a week old Steemian, or there abouts I posted a photo of me from the day we had our 5k run and so on at Recruit Course (Basic Training as my fellow yank mates would call it) up at 1RTB Kapooka, back many many many years ago.

What this one photo to me means is a lot more than what went on there and then, I guess it was the beginning of the path I would take in life. Without even knowing it at the time!

Looking back at it, I was young dumb and ready to..... well as any teenager was in those years!

Yet to think that this was the turning point in my life that would determine my future, a point in my life that would have such a large affect on my future, a point in my life which literally could be marked as the beginning of the end for a boy to the beginning of a life time of challenges and experiences that would make me the person I am today.

So the next time you have a photo that you think "isn't worth posting" remember, each and every photo, no matter how many you have in your collection is worth a million words, it is a photo that has a story behind it, it is a moment of your life that means something to you and can be shared.

It is a part of you and as such is worthy of being a part of your blog here.

Don't cut yourselves short, your photos are a treasure and they are worth more than any words can ever describe as they bring back memories that could take up an entire book of text, from what went on before and how you came to the point that the photo was taken to the emotions and experiences involved and how you look back at that moment and compare it to the life that went on after it.

Don't be shy.... here is my photo of a young lad who at that point in time didn't have a clue, who could never have imagined what all would go down in his life after this point in time when this photo was taken..... and yes... I was thinking "get the F... out of here...... as I was cleaning my rifle after the final march with the obstacle course, man carry, firing range and so on....."

So there you have it, if I can post a photo of this ugly bugger here and make it worthy of a post, then there is no reason why you should hold back on your photos, they are guaranteed to be better than this photo within a photo!

Yours truly
Jack
